Title: power steering

on the way home from a cruse inn i blew a hose   seames easy enough to change ( time  will tell) but is there a certin type fluid to use ? i have herd not to use the newer fluids  on an older system.

thank you fred , does it matter what type  trans fluid?  (a,f, dextron,mercron....)
it took about 15 mins to remove the hose  and about 2 days to get a new one  parts store had to order it,

Only 35 years old when it failed.   Jeez that must have been a factory defect. if i where you i would haul it down to the dealership and get it warrantied.   :P
