I have my 71 Pinto listed in the classifieds, and was contacted by a Bob Weir from London, England about buying my car. He ended up sending me $5,000.00 more than the agreed upon price, and then asked me to forward the extra money to his shipper, which was located in London, England. I was notified today by the bank that the check was a counterfeit. Man I'm glad I told him that I wouldn't release the car untill the funds cleared the bank. Not only would I have been out a car, but also the $5,000.00.

Yeah, that is a common scam these days.

Been tried on me twice.A friend almost got nailed with one for 10 grand,bank saved him too.
