I was looking at our home on Google Earth, and my 74 wagon is visible. I can also see some of my other non Pinto collector cars, so I know it was garage cleaning day when they flew over as I seldom park them on the street for more than a very short time. No Pinto on the street view, just the aerial view, taken at different times.
Have you checked your home and is your Pinto showing up?
My Pinto is parked at my Mom's, alongside my '83 Ford F-150 4x4. On Google Earth, when you check out her house you see my truck parked alongside my '79 Continental Mark V, which is now kept at my house. That means the photo has to be at least 2 1/2 years old, because that's how long the Pinto has been parked there!
Dwayne
not at home but my green wagon was at work the day they did the drive by :)
haha i just checked my google earth, my orange 78 is right in front of my place! thats great! :-)
Awe... the one downside to keeping my Shelly garaged :(
Although that hawaiian sun does quite a number to the paint and other trim
HMM, I tried the google thing. All I could see was a big blur. Could not discipher if there was even a vehicle! How can you guys?
From satellite view I can see my blue 78 parked in front of my parents house where it sat after we rebuilt the motor. I know it's my 78 Sedan because my parents have lived there since 1991 and it would only be there or on the side of the house. Google didn't have their own satellites or permission to use others until sometime in the new millennium.
However from street view, I cannot find my car anywhere. Any any of the previous places of employment or homes, or even frequently traveled roads. I'm wondering if I had it in the garage working on it or if I had it at my old apartment under the carport, which street view wouldn't show.
