Hello
I have a 73 Pinto we done a V 8 swap on in 1984. We used a 76 Mustang II as a doner. I never got the stabilizer bar hooked up and I am wondering what I am missing so I can get it hooked up. The car has been in storage for about 15 years due to no time to drive it much or work on it. Sitting is hard on a car. Here is a picture of the problem. Any help appreciated

You're missing a U shaped bracket of flat steel stock that has a hole for the Bolt closest to the front of the Control arm strut. You can see the bolt head in your pic. I have a M2 Competition front bar on My '72 racer and that's what the sway bar link eye slips into.
Easy part to make if you haven't found the originals.

Thank you for the reply I appreciate it. I have not seen an original . I may end up making one can you give me any Idea of how high the bracket is so I can at least be close to the correct bracket size. I take it I just bolt it to the one bolt seen in my picture you mentioned.
Thanks again
Make the vertical "ears" about 1-3/8" tall from the surface that contacts the face of the strut rod. The mounting hole for the "eye " on the bar link should be 7/8" to 1 ". Of course allow the width of the Eye link between the "ears" and drill one hole for the strut rod bolt centered. Make sure the Bolt head isn't making contact with the link "eye", when in doubt check twice before drilling the Holes for the "ears". Default to the higher measurement if needed..
Good luck ,

Thanks again I will give it a try.

I just wanted to let you know that I finally fabbed up the brackets for the Pinto. It took a while to get to it but I started yesterday evening and now have them installed. Thank you they are not the prettiest but they seem to work fine.
Thanks Again
