first run was from a roll, pullon him about a car and missed 3rd......duuuhhhhh.....
next run from a dig,,,, pulled a car in 1st, 2 more in 2nd and he was fading in third so i let off...... it was fun to finally get the car up against someone, anyone.....
i still dont have the boost set correctly, its not on the controller yet, so i hit overboost about 3 times and it was shutting down the car at 21 psi.... so i need to adjust the w/g arm to pull about 10 to 15 lbs on its own then the controller will get set to 25..... should add to the madness........
Awesome! Ill just be glad to drive mine even if it just on the stock wg spring and like 8psi. LOL
Nice! As the owner of a '72 Pinto (sbf, 280 rwhp) and an '03 SRT4 (240 fwhp) I would have loved to have seen those runs. Want me to try to get you a run against a nastier SRT? There's a bunch of 'em out there... ;-)
Good goin Steve. Glad to see you out there making the Pinto owners proud. I don't know why, but I really enjoy outrunning SRT 4's. I guess it's their attitude after spending that much money. Here is one I did a while back. Life is good with a four banger.

according to the srt forums and other spots a stage 2 srt4 is 285 hp... but the lil thing does run pretty good..... yeah curtis, it was fun stickin the nose out front ......:D
Well, it depends on which version of Stage 2 it is...with or without Turbo Toys. If it's got Turbo Toys and is running race gas (or water injection) it's 280hp/300 ft-lbs. Turbo Toys without the Race Gas switch engaged is 265hp/280ft-lbs. A non-Turbo Toys car is about 260/280.
There's a saying in the SRT-4 community: What do a 300, 400 and 600hp SRT4 have in common? 12 second timeslips. ;)
I'm sure glad that my Turbo Toy Pinto is in no way connected to the Turbo Toys you refer to. I would certainly NOT want one of those slow butt 12.XX second time slips. :showback:
Well don't get too cocky there are a whole bunch of SRT4s running low 11s, quite a few in the 10s at at least one that is about to break into the 8s (9.12 best so far) running around the streets these days
Well, that's just nifty. My car is a true daily driver and if the cars you speak of aren't solidly into the 10's, they need not apply. There is always someone that can outrun you, but dollar for dollar and bang for the buck, I'll put mine against any street driven SRT4 out there. If that's too cocky, so be it. Steve's (Pinturbo75) pinto falls right in there also and is a daily driver. Soooo, bring them to South Carolina and we will be glad to have a go.
i smell a series reminiscent of the old 'grudge race' that was prevalent back in the day!
come on guys. do it!
sell it to PINKS or (what's that other one on SPEED ?)
It's all in fun. If it ever gets to where I can't laugh at myself or have fun with the car, I'll quit. I do like running SRT4's though.
