Title: problem with seller... please read
Post by: r4pinto on March 05, 2005, 06:08:29 AM
In december I was trying to buy 2 mirrors & a radio trim panel for my car & found them, thanx to the classifieds on this site. I got contacted & told how much for them, & at the time had a problem come up that prevented me from paying immediately, but payed within a month... I still have not received the parts, & had to threaten legal action to even get a reply to the emails I sent him...

If anyone tries to buy parts from rickbsales@sbcglobal.net avoid him at all costs!! It's pretty bad when you have to threaten to press charges before anything gets done.

Well after a total of 4 months of trying to get the parts, he finally sent them to me after I repeatedly threatened to press charges against him he finally sent the parts. They're the ones  waned in good shape, but I stil will never deal with him...

Again his email address is: rickbsales@sbcglobal.net

i purchased a grill from rick and we talked on the phone prior to sending the money.  he explained he is in  a wheel chair.  it might take a while.  I sent him the money and it took about a month to get the parts. i had no problem.  i am just sad about how people can judge other people and not know the situation.  i do have 2 legs and arms that work but god forbid something ever happened i do wish someone would understand this situation.  just my two cents worth! >:( >:( >:(

to the inconsiderate person!  get your facts right!

before you go accusing a person of being inconsiderate, keep in mind what you're saying. I knew back in december he was in a wheel chair, and was being very patient. And it took him 4 months to get the parts to me, NOT 1 MONTH, let alone responding to my emails. So if you don't know the whle story, then it's best not to comment.

Joe, is it possible that not everyone knows this person has a disability? I'm not defending anyone just asking questions. One would not have any facts to get right if one did not know the circumstances.
Just my 2c....... :)

turbopinto you are right... some people might not know about the sellers condition, but I had known. That wasn't the problem.. The problem I had was the lack of response to the seller after he had my money and would not respond to emails even 3 months after I paid for the parts. I understand peoples problems, but I don't understand taking 4 months and no communication until I threaten legal action.

Enough is said here.. I request this topic be locked from any further replies.

my opinion:  if someone takes 4 months to send me my parts....i'll forgive if they are in a coma during that time.....otherwise i'd be pissed too! Keep in mind he did not return emails also. pintojoe II: this area is to relate to others thier experiances be them good or bad, feel free to start a thread of your own stating your posative experiance with this fellow, but i feel it wrong to hijack his thread after waiting 4 months for parts and calling him inconsiderate.   Jeff

Wheel chair or not, it does not take a month to ship a part nor does it take 4 months to ship a part. I sell many items on ebay and they are packed, weighed and ready to ship BEFORE I list them.

Meaning what? We are all inconsiderate, and should wait 4 months for our parts with no replies to the emails we send to the seller?

EWWWW I see this ending badly.

That said, I agree that 4mo is extreme, Also, someone who has my HARD EARNED $$$ should at least give me the courtesy of returning my E-mails. This transaction would get a person banned from Ebay. It's unfortunate that this person is disabled, but it's no excuse for poor business practices. I build "puters as a sideline & one of my suppliers is a one man show ,& he's in a wheelchair. He's NEVER missed a deadline without a reasonable explanaton. He even shipped one part on his way to the hospital for a surgery! Everyone goes thru tough times ,& gets behind, but when that happens one NEEDS to explain it to anyone involved.
Just my 2 cents.

pintojoeII This post was about HIS dealings with this fellow and the length of time it took for HIS parts, and the lack of response to HIS emails. Getting $20 back does not change the facts for him, so let it go, if you had good dealings with this fellow post it in this section and say so, but don't inject yourself in this matter. This thread is locked....'nuff said!
