Well a uneasy economy has kept a lot of people from enjoying life as they might have before this downturn...but nonetheless my family and I are getting along pretty good, but I just don't have the funds avaliable to put towards my toys. My '79 and '78 drag car are so close to being restored its not funny...maybe another $750 combined and they would be completed. The '76 needs more like $1000 individually but I knew that would be on the back burner for a while when I bought it. ANYWAYS long story short I haven't been able to participate in the hobby I love very much lately, so I thought I'd just post a cool older picture of the drag car in its heyday launching, giving a little idea of what she does. I don't think I've posted it here before but if I have I apologize for the repetitiveness.  :)

Beegle i have never seen the picture before and i really love it. She has her nose in the air ready to hunt. REALLY COOL.  Thanks for sharing.

An early 302 truck block .030 over, 13.5:1 compression with a wild Comp cam, hand ground rings, Dart 351W heads port/polished, Victor Jr. intake with a Holly 4150 HP double pumper resting on top, all exiting through Hooker headers. Whole engine balanced/blueprinted.
It's a solid lifter engine with Harland Sharp roller rockers putting down 491 HP at the rear revving to 8,000 RPM... :afro:
