Title: Transmission Fluid in Vacuum Lines
Post by: jcbugs on February 28, 2005, 12:29:44 AM
I blew the motor in my Pinto last week, pulled the motor today and noticed I have tranny fluid
in all of the vacuum lines that come off of the rear vacuum tee. Its a stock 2.3L, the lines that come off of that tee are, from transmission, to the distributor, and to the EGR valve. Does anybody have any ideas about what would cause this, and how to fix it. Thanks in advance for any comments.

check the vacum modulator, it could have a ruptured diaphram, that happened on my friends mustang, just folow the vacum lines back to the trans and it should be a little round thing that kinda looks like the vacum advance on a ditributor except its screwed into the trans
