Anyone have an idea on where to get a replacement flexible brake line that goes from the rear axle to the chassis? Mine is rusted and plugged up. Problem is the brake line is permanently attached to the distribution block that sits on top of the axle.
I googled the part when I bought it for my 77 sedan. Only problem is I bought the part about 3 years ago & never installed it. I gotta change that before driving to Carlisle next year. There is no way that will hold up otherwise.
I have been telling people about this line with block 12 left in stock on discontinued part so price is way low. Rock Auto Parts Bendix #77012 $12.50. Fred :)
That's it Fred!!! I couldn't recall where I got it from, but as soon as you said Rock Auto it hit me like a ton of bricks lol.
I just ordered the part. $20 shipped, aint too bad.
There is a shop here in Boise that can custom build stuff like this. They have the correct brass fittings for both ends as well. It's about $25-$30 to have them build one for a 73. When these sell out on Rock Auto, at least we have another option!
