Autokrafters has a seal for a trunk type, But I cannot find one for a hatchback. J.C.Whitney doesn't carry the universal seal either. Does anyone know where I can find one? Thanks
Alberto advises that a first-generation Focus two-door door weatherstrip works perfectly- it's the correct size and all. It seems to work for Wildfire, my '74 Runabout... ;D
thanks blue, i'll cheak into it.
Is the seal the same for all years?
I will need to come up with something for my 79 at some point, if that Focus one will work that would be great.
What years are first gen Focus?
Thanks,
Russ
Russ,
2000-2007 models of the Ford Focus are considered first generation. Hope this helps!

yeah, thanks!
I used to have a 2002 I think it was. Didn't realize that there was that big of a change in them recently.

Hey all
I don't know why jc whitney doesn't have the universal seals anymore.
I tried to order several of them to bring to Carlisle this year but my order
came back as unavailable. This was a good fit & price. Sorry It isn't
available anymore. I guess all good things turn to crap!!

ps Tommy give me a shout; let me know how life is treating an ol' buddy.
Sounds like you are getting my luck.
I am always looking for something that I may have seen years ago, but now when I need it it isn't available any more.
Russ
Dwayne I gotta correct you... Focus started in model year '99. I know this because the day I bought my Escort ZX2 in late December '98 there were Focuses at Sunrise Ford in Fontana.

They came out in 1999, but as 2000 models. Same sales tactic that Ford used when they introduced the restyled 1997 F-150 pickups in January of 1996. I bought mine in February and had a current model year truck for two whole years!
