Title: 2.3 CYLINDER HEAD

 ??? QUESTION: WILL A LATER MODEL (1991-93)MUSTANG OR (1987-97)FORD RANGER 2.3 CYLINDER HEAD FIT MY 1978 2.3 FORD PINTO ENGINE.  AND CAN I USE THE COMPLETE SETUP IE:ROLLER CAMSHAFT AND WILL I HAVE TO CHANGE THE CAMSHAFT SPROCKET??

The roller cam is a direct swap as long as your roller rockers are the type to fit the older size valve stems, be carefull as the newest (somwhere in the early to mid 90s) rockers were for the thinner valve stems and will not fit. The newer "D" port heads are usable on the older 2.3 engines. The intake manifold has no problem mating up to the "D" shaped ports but if it's a performance build then I would use a newer Fuel Injected lower manifold and use an adaptor to mount a Holley 2 barrel. The older cam pulley will fit the roller cam. They also made a 2.0 ranger motor with different ports, I don't know much about that one.
