More years ago than I care to admit to I purchase a '78 wagon
and I am only nowgetting back to it. I am sure no one wants to
hear my tales of why.
I have just discovered that that the state of PA title has it listed
as a coupe !!
Will anyone please give me the third & fourth didgits in a '78
station wagon ?
I am hoping it is a state error and that I didn't by a 'hot' car.
I will appreciate any help with this !!!

Thanks for your reply.
My VIN number is 8T12Yxxxxxx The vehicle is a SW but on the
title *body type* it has CP.
If '12' is the code for a SW then I will see if I can have the title
corrected. Since it is going to be a V-8 conversion, I will have
enough hassle with PennDOT as it is and I don't want to add to it
by having the wrong info on the title etc.
Yes, I live in Pittsburgh.
P.S. Is there even a Pinto body style called a coupe ?
Thanks again, Rich
how bad is the body on the wagon have you considered going antique plates? it just has to look stock to get the plate then you can modify still needs to look some what factory (no big blower sticking out ) no more inspections with antique plates
sometimes the hatch/ trunk is called a coupe
there are a few other pintos in you area.
