Title: Who made these wheels?
Post by: Pinto5.0 on July 16, 2010, 10:38:57 AM
I picked these up & wanted to look for some center caps for them but I have no idea who made them. They are 14x7 with the Pinto bolt pattern. There is nothing on the back that refers to the manufacturer.

I had a set of those on my 78 C/W in the day. 13" on
the front and a Maverick 8" 5 hole with 14" on the rear.
They were Western wheels, as I bought them new. I
have a couple pics of it, but they are Polaroids, so I don't
know how I could post them, as I have trouble posting
regular pics. It was a black car with the portholes filled
and tinted windows, no stripes, and it looked KILLER!!!!

Ill try to remember to measure them Sunday when I get home.

All the Vectors I google imaged are 10 spoke General Lee style. I was thinking ET made em but thats a guess. I ruled out Western Hurricanes as well since mine have more spokes.

Apparently they are Western Turbine 30 spoke. Copy of a Vette wheel. I must have looked at 3000 wheel pix before I spotted one that gave the name. I agree with Blink77 on the style. I have a 5 lug conversion but I kinda like these.

Im not 100% sure Im going to run them yet. I need to trial fit one to see how much of the fenderwell they fill. I have a set of 5 lug 14x8 Centerlines that I wanted to run with some wider rubber but Im still up in the air.

The center is 2.75 or 2 3/4" whichever you prefer.
