Already have all the interior out of the car. Would like to do this without destroying the trim like I did on the windshield(which still isn't out)
Thanks,
Russ
the trim on the outside comes out with the window, no need to remove before. what i did was from the inside, pull down on the rubber seal, and as you do this put slight preasure on the window pushing outward. start at the top working around the window. all should come out as one unit. hope this helps.

Make sure you remove the phillips head screw from the verticle trim piece before you begin to remove the windows.
In addition to the above, I like to apply armorall on the rubber and let it sit for a few minutes. Spraying it on the face and behind the lip, seems to make the rubber softer, more flexible, and definetly more slippery. It is a bit messy but seems to help.
Yep, just pull the interior rubber trim down, and push out.
I did this in a junkyard car and actually ended up using my feet. :surprised:
The right side was in so tight I eventually kicked it out with both feet in last resort and frustration. It bounced off the neighboring minivan and hit the ground with no damage. :amazed:
The armor all is a good trick, but soapy water will work maybe better and will clean up easier. Spray it under all the rubber inside and out and let it soak in. I bet it will slide right out after that.
I used laundry liquid mixed in water for similar tasks and for cleaning and light degreasing, too.
Thanks, all. Really appreciate it.
The little Philips screw on the trim may be a slight problem. I tried it the other night and couldn't get it to budge. Although I may have stripped the head out. :-( Haven't been in the garage since to check it out.
Russ
That little screw would be fairly easy to drill out if you stripped the head out.
Yeah, one would think so. I may have lousy bits, but I tried last night with a brand new bit(Bosch) and didn't get very far. Maybe I was using the wrong size. I picked one that was a little larger than the screw head.
I don't know. This is when I normally start breaking things, so I just walked away. :-)
Thanks,
Russ
