What is the trick to getting the nut off of that one? I can't get a wrench or socket on fully and don't want to round it off.
My other option is to cut the exhaust pipe. I would rather not do that, it is in good shape. But this is holding up pulling the engine out, so I have to do something soon.
Thanks,
Russ
I use a long extension with a universal joint and get it from the bottom.
I knew it was going to involve "from underneath". I'm not sure if I have any universal joints for my socket sets or not. have to take a look.
Thanks,
Russ
Just to update.
I tried cutting the exhaust pipe, but couldn't get the wheel all the way through, it was a used wheel and about wore out. Couldn't get another.
So I pulled the engine up as far as it could go while still being attached, tried to remove the nut again, couldn't really get it. So I cut the stud between the manifold and the pipe flange. sigh.
