Title: 5 lug rear axle
Post by: IHRAPinto on February 23, 2005, 10:27:03 AM
Hi everyone, read posts often and have received many great ideas, I have a 1977 Pinto, 2.8 V-6, C4 and 8" rearend, that I am sloooowly building for the track (mild use), as it will be my 13 y.o daughter to eventually race it. My question is what is the easiest, budget friendly way of converting the rear to a 5 lug set up? Thanks in advance for the help!

Maybe take the axles out and have a machine shop make them five lug.

That was my thinking, have the axle/drums (new drums) welded and redrilled for 5 lug at a local shop, but wanted to see if anyone else had done it, or knew of an easier way.
