I will be taking my 78 Sedan to Emmett on the 18th for southern idaho's biggest car show, last year they had over 700 cars there!
Emmett is where my 78 was purchased new back in 1978. That alone should bring some attention to the car, but I'm wanting to put some stuff up on/in the car as well to show it off a bit.
I'm bringing one of the original license plates, the 999 report from Ford, the original brochure, owner's manual, promotional Pinto key-tool, this year's calendar, some pictures of the car while it was at the dealership being purchased, and some of the original warranty stuff.
I'm thinking of putting the calendar under the driver's side windshield wiper and the owner's manual and warranty stuff under the other wiper. Put the pictures in the frame under the hood, the 999 report in the rear driver's side window, and the key-tool on the dash on the passenger's side with the license plate on the passenger's seat.
Any ideas on how else I might be able to arrange this stuff without it looking cluttered?
If it were me, I would put most of the stuff on the rear shelf and the dash. That way people can look at the items, but not get to them so easily! Under the hood is a neat idea too for something in a frame or what not!
Good point, Kim! I don't have a whole lot of room back there due to my 6x9 speakers in the rear deck, but I think a few things might fit! :)
how about a binder with the clear insert type pages, and you can slip in all the information per page, people will flip through at their leasure looking it all over. place the binder under the hood over the rad, or do like we are planning, on/in the trunk area? on a small shelf/bench? when ours is done it will be on that bare area to the left of the spare tire/plexiglass cover.
