Title: Bobcat Cruzin Wagon?
Post by: peleus21 on June 28, 2010, 06:42:02 PM
i have a 77 pinto wagon and think i really like the 76 merc front better. Has anyone ever done a swap on em and is there such a thing as a bobcat cruzin wagon? i might be able to get the parts off a merc, but if it is a mega project i might just pass

Peleus They did not come as C/w's ever. thats a touch you would have to do yourself. mine is a 75 mercury bobcat SW with CW panels from a 77 CW my dad found in a Junkyard back when we lived in California, pick-n-pull Adelanto CA. He did not get the Trim tho lol. anyways they fit but take work, ive never seen someone make a Pincat tho that would be diff

I really like the CW look on a bobcat its looks like it should be that way. Im going to Weld my panels on instead of screwing them in place.

i totally agree on the welding! i am going to be doing the same. once they are on i am gonna insulate the inside real well for better sound deadening too. i might do some photoshoping  to post pics of the perposed project.

project update

got to reconsider my project. i was restoring the interior and blew holes in it all over.

turns  out any rust on the inside is from the complete rot all the way through.

get another project car? or scrap the whole thing :(

Ultimately only you can make that determination. I hate to see you give up on this but you know in your heart what you can and/or want to do. Where are the bad rust spots and are they feasably reparable?
