Title: Pinto Times submissions - anyone?
Post by: FlyerPinto on June 26, 2010, 12:14:58 PM
I'm putting together the next issue of Pinto Times and I'm looking for some more contributions, photos, stories etc. If you have something send me a message and we'll get together. Thanks a bunch.

Matthew:

With my work schedule right now don't think I have time to put anything together though I wish I could. You'll hear more from me eventually, I have plenty of "tear down/restore" stuff to talk about yet. What kind of window are you looking at for submissions?

Chris,

I'm looking to have this issue in the mail within the next month, so two weeks or so is what I have left to get goodies.

What is your deadline?   I was thinking about an article for Newbies (Top Ten Lessons for Newbies) from a Newbie (me)....with advice, what I've learned, lots more...if you think that would be of interest.

I believe there's going to be an on-going increase in interest about Pintos from collectors my age who have great memories of new Pintos.   I can take a crack if you think this might be of interest.  If not, no problem....

Interesting idea - two issues ago I submitted an article called "What they don't tell you about the Pinto", a similar monologue geared towards the traps and pitfalls I learned myself about the Pinto - very much in the same light of your idea.

Given there's alot to learn about these cars, and everyone's experiences are different, why not?

Sure thing, put something together and we'll see what we can do with it. The idea is very similar to an article (as mentioned by Popbumper just a moment ago) that was in our last edition, so it needs to be different enough that I can still go with it. Put something together and send it to me as a Word attachment. Thanks a bunch, I appreciate it.

Guys,
How can I get a copy of these articles?   Can I buy copies of all past issues that are still available?

Sure thing. If you subscribe now you'll still get the first two issues, they'll just arrive simultaneously. You can buy the individual issues as well, but it costs the same .

Harley,

I just got the message today, only a day late. Sorry. If you can send me Carlisle photos that would be great. Do you still have my home e-mail address?
