Title: back up light switch

Does any one know a source for back up light switch for the c4 transmission? All I see is c3 switches. I know c4's were avery popular trans , seems like there should be some avalible.

so this will work on my 78 even though it says it fits 73 ?

one other thing does any one know which wires on the switch control the backup lights?Id like to test the switch first.

Dave go for red with light blue tracer. I just sold my last C-4 switch yesterday for $25.00 they are $64.00 new + ship.  Fred

If things turn out that I end up keeping Brownie, I'm going to pull the switch apart and see if I can fix it (I have a nack for fixing electronic equipment).

Good info there Fred!

It seems like it is just held together by a couple metal tabs bend over the plastic backing. It shouldn't be to hard to bend the tabs out gently and see what's going on inside. Since they are made of china pot metal, they may break off. JB weld should fix that though! I'll let you know what I figure out.

I may do the same ,pull the old one apart,when I get the time. Its summer now and time to drive it! I dont plan to back up much.
