Title: Thinking of selling my Pinto...
Post by: hoots on February 21, 2005, 07:36:37 PM
Well, the gov't thinks they deserve my money more than me, and I'm in the middle of fighting them. >:( I might have to sell my car. I've invested almost 2 years in rebuilding it from the ground up, you name it and it's been rebuilt, reworked, or replaced. 302, C4, 8"posi. New paint, complete rebuilt front end, carpet, added gauges, recovered dash, the list goes on and on. I've got close to 8 grand in it and that's what the reciepts show( yes, i kept them all). What i'm looking for is some input from you gurus on an estimated value. Hagerty insurance had no problems insuring it for 10g's full coverage. The picture has the old air dam on it, I found an oem airdam that is in the paint shop and will be on it within a couple of weeks.

It really all depends on what the "hot rod" market is in your area. I think $8 to $10K is reasonable (especially with receipts).

Looks pretty much priceless to me.

The government isn't in a big hurry. They'll do payments.
