Title: parting out 77 wagon
Post by: Pangra74 on June 18, 2010, 02:39:49 PM
Hey everyone,

I am currently working on a  new 74 wagon project which already has the Cruisin Wagon panels on it. I found a clean 77 California wagon which I will be parting out. It's a 2.3, 4 speed car with factory air. I'll be turning my 74 into a 77 CW look alike without the smog hassle. Once I decide what parts I will keep, I'll sell off the rest.

I will.

I rented a storage unit so I can organize all my stuff. I've collected a lot of parts over the years while building my Runabout and want to get rid of stuff that I won't need.

Unfortunately I still Need a lot for my 75 wagon, Mainly need to get the rest of the interior stuff, a few odds and ends and I can get the seats recovered. the panels painted, plus a few other things. rest is all outside the car Body work/parts mainly the elusive Cruising wagon gutter trim extensions and covers.

My 74 has CW panels screwed on by the previous owner, but that's it. No trim, weatherstripping or sealant and this car was in Washington State with all the rain coming in. I may decide to have the panels welded in seamlessly and skip the trim altogether. Body is last on my list tho. I'm thinking V8 and AOD auto for this one. I have a factory air system from Fred Morgan for it and a power rack....gonna be a real cruiser if it comes out the way I want it to.

Well I just spent about 14 hours parting out a donor car, 77 wagon. Got some nice stuff, a few items that are hard to find in good shape. I need to walk away from the cars for a few days, I'm beat!! But now I have some more inventory to choose from. I'll decide what i don't need and post it all for sale.
