Weeding through the search results for Granada brakes is exhausting..... I just cant seem to find what I am looking for...
We have a 75 pinto with the standard disc brakes that we are going to be road racing. Did the granada have a 4 lug pattern? We don't want to have to buy more wheels.
Thanks
granadas are 5 lug and have 9 inch rear ends that are 5 lug too.
What are you wanting larger front brakes?
How about an 87-88 tbird turbocoupe? Don't those have rear 4 lug disc brakes? Not sure if the bolt pattern is the same, but the axle width might have to be modified to make it fit correctly on a Pinto. Should have trac-loc though.
Turbocoupes are 4 lug and they do use the same bolt pattern and do have a trac-loc and depending on if its a 5 speed or auto will either have 3.55 or 3.73 gears. They are wider then the factory rear and would require welding spring perchs on.
Well i just did a little looking around and kept coming up with granandas being 4 lug which i think is wrong because i have never seen a 4 lug granada.
You wanting to run gm calipers and granada rotors? if so i have only seen them in Ford 5X4.5 and GM 5X5 bolt patterns
6 cylinder Granada's can be 4 lug. I owned one and the 4 bolt pattern is the same as Pinto's and Mustang II's.
Agreed, there are 4 lug Granada's, I saw one at my regular yard that had a disc brakes in the rear. To bad I didn't nab it!
cool didnt know that but then again never seen a 4 lug granada just v8 ones around here
We want big brakes for the front. The rear has a rearend from something else and seems to have more than enough stopping power, even for shoes, but the front is what needs the upgrade.
well we know some of the granadas had 4 lug now but that doesnt mean they are the same size as the v8 5 lug ones that are 10.5 inch rotors it would be cool if they are the same size.
If you saw a 4 lug Granada it was a Fox body one. I am almost sure the ones before that had only 5 lugs.
