Does such a thing exist yet? Would be interesting to see how prevalent certain model types and years are. All people would have to do is post the VIN and give a few lines about the car's history or status.
Great idea, but do we already have one?
Can someone explain what I have been seeing on this site on occasion where a comment is made about "registered Ride" and then a number?
A few years ago the PCCA store had PCCA window cling stickers for sale, made by PintoWorks I think (http://www.pintoworks.com/ (http://www.pintoworks.com/)). Anyway, each sticker had a "Registered Ride" number on it, which was supposed to be a part of a "Pinto Registry". My 78 is Ride Number 110, I know a local fellow who is 112 and 113 and I believe discolives (Chuck) is 111. There is a thread in the Charter Member subforums about the registry, I asked about the progress of it early this year but never received any replies to it.
I just found the letter I got with my window sticker. Here's what it says:
FORDPINTO.COM
DEAR: DAVID

PLEASE NOTE THE NUMBER ON YOUR STICKER(S)
110 . THIS NUMBER WILL BE ARCHIVED IN

TURBOPINTO72
So, looks like getting ahold of Brad (turbopinto72) would be a good start to getting these stickers reprinted and re-released!
Dave, there are still registered ride stickers- at Knott's I got Ruby's- #76. I didn't get a letter but then again Brad hand-delivered it. lol.
if i rember correctly the first number (1,2,3) has to do with the part of the county you live in mine is 341 and i am on the east coast.
I guess Cali folks are zeros! lol. :hypno: :o
