Title: 75 Pinto V6 to 2.3T swap Questions. (I searched)
Post by: ThreeFingerPete on June 10, 2010, 10:36:02 PM
I didn't quite find the info that I'm looking for.  I haven't spent much time with the v6 pinto cars, and I'm just trying to figure out if the 2.3 uses the same mounts as the v6, or if the Kmember needs to be changed.

Car is an automatic. Any tips on a t5 swap to go with the 2.3? Do most of you guys end up using a cable type clutch?

I got super lucky on my Pinto wagon, so here's a little porn for you guys.

THe K memeber should be the same but I think the frame mounts will need to be changed.  They unbolt so it is not too bad of a change.  As for the T-5 swap, you will need the clutch pedal assy and the cable type clutch is probably the easiest to install.  Nice looking wagon.

Thanks man! I'm glad to hear that it's just the mounts that need to change. K members are a PITA.

I'm off to do a bit more research on the 5 speed swap.
