Title: 2300 cc air cleaner decal
Post by: 1975PintoMPG on May 29, 2010, 04:23:06 AM
Hey everyone, I was wondering if any of you have an air cleaner  with intact decal from a 1975 to I think 1976 or 77 2.3 engine. I want to see if the 1975 I'm working on uses the same decal available from Auto Krafters that says it's for 1974 only.
I think that last few years of Pinto use a bare aluminum lid but the mid 70's and maybe early 70's Pinto may have used the very same decal. I suspect they did and I'm betting it's a misprint in their Pinto catalog so if any of you can post some pics of your ORIGINAL air cleaner lids and say what years they're from it would be very helpful to everybody.

Can anyone at least verify what their 1975 Pinto decal looks like? Maybe post a pic of it?

I don't know if this will work but this one is on a '76 wagon 2.3.

Well it works, kinda, just click on some part of the post, it is a link.  (http://s62.photobucket.com/albums/h100/rodinhand/?action=view&current=IMGP0048.jpg)

ilvmy76,
Thanks for replying. You were the ONLY one! The decal I'm looking to compare to is the one that says 2300cc on it. It should curve along with the top contour of the air cleaner and would be blue/white in the 70's. If you still have it on your air cleaner please post the link.
Thanks, John
