I was driving home from my friend Stephanie's store tonight on Coast Highway in beautiful Oceanside California when I come to a red light. I was in Ruby naturally and this guy in a PT Cruiser pulls up beside me and gives a couple toots from his horn, then motions me to roll down my window. He flat out asked me if I would sell her! As if!!! lol. I told him never. The light turned before I could refer him to our site. What a hoot!
Nice! Glad to hear Ruby is getting lots of attention!
Nothing like a little extra attention to make your day!
Dwayne
Like the judge says when your hot your hot when your not your not,,,,,lolol
lol! Ernie that was Jerry Reed wasn't it!? Rest his truck-driving soul...
In passing I see lots of people looking at her, then there's the eejits who assume I'll be a slow-poke and will cut me off. The good vibes far outweigh the bad. It looks like people love Pintos again! It's too bad I couldn't talk to that guy in the PT longer.
My bobcat hasnt even been driven down the road and ive had people want to buy it.
An yes that song is by jerry reed one of my fav people.
I liked him too...
Two of the people on my street love the bobcats, both are restoring old cars, on a 1953 Jaguar, the other a 64 continental/1976 Trans-am, one wanted to buy my bobcat to restore as a Sedan delivery but i wont sell her.
Jerry Reed - When You're Hot, You're Hot Toledo 1983 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bzewk-FMgS0#) Here Ya go Lololol
East bound and down
How 'bout that Prudence and "her" abundant facial hair!? lol
I am so proud of my lil' car!
I drove Ruby- on a whim, mind you- to San Bernardino this past weekend for my Dad's birthday. Berdoo is about 80 miles away, over hills and through heat. Dad was sure surprised when I didn't pull up in the usual Rodeo Girl. My cousin and her husband both commented, separately, that Ruby looks great for her age! The thing that simply amazed me, though, is she only used a quarter of a tank to get there!!! All told, the trip there, a quickie trip to Ecology (yeah I'm afraid I got something that lots of folks want but I may not be selling it), a stop at Petsmart, back to Dad's, back home, and to work (18+ miles one way) and I had only used around 8 gallons of gas! Ohhh, I did make one other stop on the way home last night. I went to Perris to see a Bobcat and a Mustang II that are advertised on this site. Yep, I got lost but eventually got there. I have a lot of confidence that she can easily make the trip to Carlisle next year! ;D
Congratulations on your successful test run and a belated happy birthday to your dad! Was starting to get concerned.... you hadn't posted since Friday! Glad to know you are okay and that you were enjoying yourself! Oh yeah... and welcome home!
Dwayne
Thank you Dwayne. :D I thought I would be able to get on Dad's 'puter but it just didn't happen. I got him that Justin Halpern book Sh*t My Dad Says. I read a friend's copy and knew Dad would appreciate the humor in it.

I haven't read that book but have heard about it. Were you aware that it was developed into a television series this season, starring William Shatner? Haven't seen that either, but I'm sure it had to be tamed down a bit for TV. Missed you this weekend and was just happy to learn that you hadn't disappeared off the face of the Earth after all!
Dwayne
I missed you too Dwayne!
I have heard it wasturned into a tv series but I doubt it can hold a candle to the book! lol! It's a must-read for those not easily offended by colorful language and pearls of wisdom in the rough. The book is hilarious!
I'll have to see if I can find a copy somewhere... sounds like a fun read!
I bought Dad's at Barnes & Noble but it was pricey... $15+. If it weren't on such short notice (ok I was having brain farts) I would've done the deal via Amazon. If you're like me you'll definitely get a chuckle or two out of it.

I don't mind the $15 range for a good read... I'll have to pick one up sometime when I'm in town.
