Title: Wagon and Sedan Door Glass Differences?
Post by: dave1987 on May 20, 2010, 02:07:50 AM
Will a wagon door glass fit a sedan of the same year?

I need to replace my driver's side door glass and the guy in caldwell parting out the 78 wagon has good glass on the doors. I know the frames are different, but what about the glass?

No the sedan glass has a taper at the end where the wagon is straight.  They will not interchange.  What is wrong with your glass?

the 78's driver side is trashy. It's scratched BADLY from bad window felts before I took ownership of the car. It's so bad you can use the back half of the window as a nail file....I've done it before!   :surprised:

My "build sheet" from Ford says it's tinted glass, I'm guessing it's a coating that keeps heat out to some extent. It doesn't looks dark, it's pretty darn clear! lol

The tinted glass is a greenish tint that can be hard to see at times.  The best way to know if you have tinted glass or not is to see if the glass says sun-x under the carlite logo.
