Title: Tach question.
Post by: rctinker on May 14, 2010, 02:06:33 AM
Was wondering if any other tach from MII, or a maverick or other ford car will swap into a pinto guage cluster?
Thanks, Tink

Are you talking about the stock cluster from a 71-78? If so the problem we have is not the front of the cluster but the rear. The plastic housing is impossible to cut (it will fall apart) and the bores an contours in it are all for a fuel gauge. Now, if you get a rallye gauge housing, then the rallye tach is in there. The problem you face now is the wiring. Hope this helps.

Ya I'm talking about the gauge clusters that came in the crusin wagons or ralye package.

This looks like work but these links show Turbocoupe and after market tach installations into the Pinto dash.
