Got a new wagon----all is good 'cept for a lose front end. At fwy speeds it tends to hunt and there is a few rattles. What to look for?-help-
I would check all of the front suspension point's. Ball joint's, tie rod end's, rack and pinion, rack and pinion mount bushing's, A-frame bushing's, control arm bushing's, strut rod bushing's and stabilizer bushings'. Replacement part's are available in an entire kit or by the piece. Don't forget the shock's too. Any worn part's should be replaced and an alignment should be done after replacement. The kit I purchased for the 73 was reasonable and came with all of the part's mentioned above. Take your time and do it right!

And the slightest bit of play in the inner/outer tie rods will get you a nice vibration, even with well balanced wheels
