Well I went to the auction with the intent to buy the '76 Pinto I posted about a couple weeks ago...and it worked out for me. I purchased the one owner, 40,000 mile, V6 Auto well equipped 1976 Pinto Runabout.
THE GOODS:
*Great running V6 and the car is in great mechanical condition overall- drove it 150 miles home.
*Interior is near perfect- Deluxe blue with woodgrain (with the exception of the dash pad and headliner.)
*Pop-out windows
*Auto
*Power steering and brakes
*Complete A/C system
*AM/FM Philco radio
*Mag wheels in near perfect shape (needs cleaned up)
*New exhaust
*Mint grill
*Original Pinto gapper key
THE BAD:
*Drivers side rust
*Rotted rear floor boards (front boards are great)
*Needs cleaned BAD (was home to mice for many years)
*Needs some rewiring (thanks to the fore-mentioned)
The car is pretty solid and has a lot of great parts and it will be a good project car.
Congratulations! Enjoy!

Thanks! And now for the good stuff...pictures. This is the car in its as-found state with the exception of the missing mag on the drivers side... I had one of the rotten tires blow out on the way home. No damage to the car or rim though, and there was an old, new Firestone spare that worked well to get me home! :D

looks like a runner.
It runs great and is in overall solid shape, but I'm going to give it effort to restore it to its former glory.

Looks like a decent car! Not to be nosy, but since you asked our help in valuing it, I can't help but wonder how much you had to pay for it. Were we anywhere close?

The 2 tone seats caught my eye. My '80 came black with gold & its the first time I ever saw them till yours.
Well $750 doesn't sound too bad does it? The car really grew on me and I decided that I was going to drive it home, and was hoping it wouldn't cross $1,000 because that was just simply too much. But I'm happy with it and it will be a good project.
And black and gold two tone seats sound awesome! I'd like to have seen a set like that.

Judging from the pictures, I'd say you did just fine at $750.

Casey....looks like a wonderful little Pinto. I'm a little envious, that was a great price. This car will be fantastic once you finish it. Good luck on the headliner mine cost me nearly $600.00 just for the install, but I think the newer models corrected this problem. Anyway, fantastic piece of Ford history...have fun with it. Oh yeah!!!! Keep posting pictures of your progress, I'm anxious to see how it progresses. Good luck!!!! Larry :police:
$750 isnt bad at all. Its what you spend whipping it into shape that counts.
Before I found mine for a grand there was nothing worth buying. Im approaching 3K in the rounding up parts stage & its getting scary.
