Hi guys, just wondering if anyone lives in Seattle area? if so, you are lucky for there are a few old pintos that are listed for sale in your area on craigslist. I see parts and cars there, and if you are looking for a project for 200 bucks here is something that might be worth looking at.
1977 Ford Pinto. Orange. Does not run. $200 Firm.

cheers
I saw them and I'm nearby, I'm suprised Apintonut has'nt got them in his yard already
I emailed the owner a couple times on that car and got no response.
Hey Tigger, maybe he already sold it, strange that he didn't mail back if it was/is still for sale. Can you take a look at the stering wheel and tell me if that is an original type? or is/was that type wheel an added option? or is it from a different type car? It looks neat and I have only seen one other pinto with a steering wheel like it.
thanks
I pulled mine off a Mustang II for my 78, but from my 78 brochure, the ralley type steering wheel was stock for the cruising wagons. Might have been an all black horn button if it was stock though, can't recall at this moment.
I can tell you all about that pinto, now that is MINE!!!!!!! They said it didn't run, but what they meant, is that it doesn't run well. I bought it for parts for the race car we are building, but this one is in such good shape that it almost makes me feel bad that I am going to tear it apart. We wanted it for the window, since the car was cheaper than a new windshield. We also wanted the alternator and supporting hardware, since our racecar needs one. The steering wheel is a stock one, but the horn button is cracked. The back is a complete glass hatch. It is in great shape. It has 3 of the stock mags that are in great shape. If anyone is interested in parts off of this thing, let me know..

It is an original type, the sport wheels was an option for the pinto and standard on the crusing wagons and some other models.

Yes I am interested in that steering wheel if is in nice shape? and also those type of tach & gauges would be cool....
Also looking at the dash part I would need the parts that hold the gauges into the dash. and is that a chrome gas cap?
One other thing, are you keeping the ignition and key? we can use the door locks and keys also.
thanks
We may have to have this conversation moved to the classifieds...... :)
The only things we need from the car is the engine and accessories, suspension and windshield. We are going to sell everything else. The car is in such nice shape, it seems like a shame, but nice new cars get turned into racers too. It is sad that the car is worth more for it's parts than the whole.
I am interested in some parts, possibly. Please send me some pics of the car and interior to gerhardplata@hotmail.com.

Here are some better pictures. This thing has a tach....... I am going to hate chopping her up... :'(

I wouldnt mind buying that tach gauge cluster lol
Oh no! That car is beautiful! It really would be a shame to cut that one up! She's sweet. I hope you can find another donor car and either keep this pretty orange one or sell her to someone who'll love her. The paint even looks great!
After a closer look at our new pinto, we will not feel bad chopping her up. While she looks good on the outside, and the interior isn't too bad, rust at the rear of the car is a serious issue. The car is rusted too bad to even turn into a race car.
So, everything is going to be available. We put the tach/gauges on ebay, but that process kind of sucks. So if any of you guys want something, let me know.

Speaking of Seattle, I am now officially in the wagon club! I just bought the white 74 pseudo Crusin' Wagon today from the guy in Tacoma!! (pseudo because it's a stock wagon with the port hole panels added). I'm having it shipped to California. Good candidate for the V8 parts I have and California smog exempt! Now....where to put it?

How much for the center console without the climate controls? Is it uncracked?
