Title: What does a Mustang II V8 oil pan look like?
Post by: TIGGER on April 19, 2010, 01:58:34 AM
I was going thru my shed today and ran across a couple oil pans that I think are Mustang II V8 pans but I am not sure.  How can I tell if they are?

The easiest way to tell is the MII pans are gold plated!!  (sorry, couldn't resist)
They are flat from the rear of the pan to the sump, and there is an indentation or notch right before the sump for clearance for the rack.
A regular 302 pan is more rounded and has a slope leading to the sump.
