Post by: 300hp302 on January 22, 2005, 01:07:58 AM
Hey, I am not to clear on where a post like this really belongs, but here looked to eb the right spot.

I am loking at getting a 1979 Mercury Bobcat.

here are teh specs:
Quote
Year: 1979
Make: MERCURY
Model: BOBCAT
Price: $4,800

300 HP 302
Comment: 300 HP 302 10.1/compression 480 lift crane cam roller rockers Weiand intake, Edelbrock carb., elec. fan, 3 core rad C4 shift kit, B&M Prostick Monster tach & gauges, silver with black int. $4,800 or best offer.

I am just wondering what the more experienced  individuals out there have to think, and what i should be careful or lok for.  SO i came here.

I think this is the engine only based on the info.
ford 302 performance engine
v8 5.0L

Pintos/Bobcats didn't come with the 302, so any 302 in the car will be a swap in.

What its worth depends on how the car looks and drives as well as how badly you want it.
