Title: 1977 Pinto Documents
Post by: Shane198three on March 23, 2010, 02:48:27 PM
Does anyone have documents saved that are digital Copies? if so could you please email them to me?

Shane198three @ aim.com

Just took my baby in for a smog, and passed with flying colors except, there is no vacuum on the EGR, and the gas cap failed... I am now going to attempt to fix the issues... But long ago I was compiling all of the information on my pinto that I could. I have 3 books, Chilton, Petersen's complete book of Pinto. and Electrical and Vacuum troubleshooting Manual, I need to find a industrial sized scanner so I can scan the documents and post them up on the web for anyone who is in need. If anyone has any digital documents, PDF, etc. Please do share...

You need the Ford Master Parts Catalog which has already been scanned and is widely available on CD. Go to EBAY and check. I have the manuals that is dated 1974-1980, and they have been an invaluable source for part numbers and important reference diagrams.

You may also want to get an original set of shop manuals for the Pinto, again check EBAY. These come in 5 volumes and are a must-have for maintenance and repair. The others lack by comparison. Good luck.
