Title: Getting ready to start engine rebuild...
Post by: Emmymau on March 18, 2010, 08:20:13 PM
...the first one I've ever done.  It's finally getting to be warm enough to work in SE Michigan, and the '73 Squire I dragged home a while back (an Arizona junkyard rescue) is begging for attention.

I've never rebuilt an engine before, but I figure if I screw it up, I was looking for an excuse to swap a Zetec into it anyhow.  Expect to see a lot of dumb questions from me as the summer goes on, however.

Dragged it all the way from Arizona, wow that's dedication.  :read: Good Luck with the build.

I'm near Detroit, Michigan.  Zetecs are the four-cylinders that Ford uses in the Focus and Contour, one of which I'm thinking will fit under the hood of a Pinto, since Turbo Coupe/Merkur motors are getting kind of scarce.
