i'm swapping a 93 mustang 2.3l in to my 1980 Pinto. i'm just swapping the intakes and getting rid of the efi...but the distributors will not swap out....is there any way to put a mechanical distributor into the 93...???? or is there a way to make the electrical distributor work with my Pinto???
The dizzys should swap all 2.3 dizzys are the same, I just put a duraspark dizzy in my 74 from a 79 bobcat. Careful Some times you have to tinker a while to get them to slide into place. Just make sure you timings set right and put the rotor on your number 1 twist the dizzy all the way forward with your roter at number one and slide in and rotate it towards the firewall and it should slide in pretty close to being on number one.
Also the only 2.3 that came with a points dizzy is the 74. They work great for triggering an msd box.
Here this thread has all the info youll need to get your dizzy to drop in right ;D.
