Title: Are all 2.3l the same

I have a 74 pinto station wagon. I bought a 2.3 liter out of an 82 mustang. they told me it would work? will it? easily? Everything line up the way its supposed too. Please let me know and thank you in advance.  Steven ???

As long as your Pinto had a 2.3 L originally it should work ok. I have gotten a 2.3L from an 80 Ford Corrier & it's the same engine basically, just newer. The bolt holes should line up on for you.

Go to racer walsh.com / then to tech / to see ever thing know to man about a 2.3L ford.  By the way, only a 2.3 pinto oil pan will fit a pinto.  Some 2.3L fords have the dip stick in a different location also.
