Title: tire pressure
Post by: Roger on March 01, 2010, 06:32:43 AM
OK, my sticker for recommended tire pressure for my 1979 wagon disappeared when I had the car repainted.  Stupidly I did not note the tire pressure beforehand and now I can't find it anywhere.  So I ask here, anyone know the recommended tire pressure for the 1979 wagon?

Tire pressure should be noted  on passengers door tag

Yes, I know that.  As I said, it disappeared when the car got repainted, so I'm asking if anyone knows it.

Tire technology has changed a lot since 1979, so the tire pressure you need could be different. most any good radial can go 35 psi, depends also on tire type, size, width, rims, ect.

My 73 wagon and my 78 sedan both perform and handle great at 35 PSI. I believe the 73's rims are about a half inch narrower, but the same diameter (13").
