Has anyone attempted to put an efi conversion out of a mustang into a pinto. As I read the forums, it seems they are all about a carbed V8 swap. Just curious, didn't know if you'd have to modify the hood and what not for clearance.
there is a member here who has an efi, can't remember who it is though! :P not a bad swap if you have the doner car, that way you have the harness and the pcm and all of the sensors. most likely won't fit under the hood.
It will fit under the hood.
Start with a complete doner car.
Hairball, How did you set up your pulley system on the swap? Is your belt just spinning the stock water pump and alternator and bypassing the smog pump power steering and AC?
I have a 91 5.0 motor with AC, smog and power steering and am getting stumped trying to find a stock pulley system that will work just turning the water pump and AC.
Hairball:
Nice looking swap.
Great job.
I want to do the same swap Hairball has done when my 2.3 dies again, gonna stay up to date on this thread! :)
