Title: Gas tank insulation
Post by: flash041 on February 07, 2010, 03:01:03 PM
I am ready to reinstall my gas tank. The old insulation , between the tank and car was in bad shape. What can I use to replace it? I was thinking of mulitple layers of roofing felt paper .Any ideas ?

That stuff looks like tarpaper to me- I bet that roofing felt would work.
BTW, I'm envious of your Cruising Wagon.  I've been looking for one with that color and stripes.

When I restored my gas tank I searched high and low for this material, and ended up using some roofing shingles (went to Home Depot, they had extras laying around). It worked great.
