This weekend I am traveling to southern Indiana to see a gentleman who has ten Pintos for sale. He is parting out some and selling the others. I'm taking photos (and my truck). When I see what he has I'll post back here. In the meantime if you're looking for something in specific, let me know and I'll make a list. If there is time I'm going to put his cars in the upcoming issue of Pinto Times. I don't know if I'll be able to squeeze it in or not.
I am needing some interior rear quarter plastic panels for a 78' sedan. Mine are decent but not in great shape. My number is 918-448-5685 or you can reach me here on the website or by email at rdavis@wilburton.k12.ok.us
Thanks
Ronnie
I've been looking for a recently priced, good shape rallye wheel for my 1979. I have one on the drag car and want one for the driver. All I've seen is overpriced, poor condition wheels. I 'own' one that was on a '79 Bobcat parts car that I sold......I was supposed to get that wheel, rallye gauges, and some other parts back from it as promised...but never have. So if you run across one and can get it, I'll pay fair market value + s/h. Let me know.

rdavis,
Is the rear quarter panel the same for all models other than the wagon? I'm thinking the big piece which runs to either side of the rear seat and has a tab which latches under the door trim piece, the same one the seat belts run through if I remember correctly. Does color matter?
beegle55,
Is this the slotted rally wheel?

:)
There is one on eBay for $60, but has had the leather grip removed and isn't in the best of shape. I'm not looking for show quality...good driver quality suits me fine. See what you can find.

I'm looking for a brown/tan center console for a 73 with air conditioning. Mine is cracked. :(
flyer pinto,
I am not sure if they are all the same. I would assume the hatchbacks are different but I may be wrong (would not be the first time..lol).....as far as color is concerned, I would love to have red or black,,,but if they are in good shape I can always paint them.
Ronnie
I'm making a list to take with me. I will look for everything I can. If I have enough cash I can bring things back with me, if not, I'll get you the guys contact info if he has what you're looking for.
hatch and trunk are different
please let me know the price of a green steering wheel if there is one... and green armrests that aren't broken. Thank you. :) Als, please take pictures of the cars! ;D
I'm actually going to print this thread and take the copy with me; I'll take my tool box (Of course) and pictures of everything. From the notes of my conversation with the gentleman he has a 74 Orange, 75 Green, 77 Red, 78 Blue, 80 White, 75 Bobcat (didn't get the color) and four or five others. All are either hatchbacks or coupes, if I remember correctly. I am definitely going (the Flyers are on the road at St. Bonaventure) and will depart the Miami Valley around 7am Saturday. It's a bit over five hours there, but I will be there as long as I can stay to good ends.
If I can't afford something someone has requested, I'll just have to let you know it exists and what they want paid for it. It would be helpful if you could tell me the max you want to pay for an item plus shipping; I don't want to be saddled with a part someone asked for but doesn't want to pay the price to get it, leaving it in my garage.
A good Rallye wheel...around $50 no more than $60 plus shipping.

I made the trip down to Boonville, Indiana yesterday to look at the Pintos I had discovered. It was 282 miles one way. Here is what I found car wise:
74 orange coupe 2.3L auto C4 with title
71 green coupe 2.0 auto C4 with title
80 lite blue coupe 2.3L auto C4 with vent windows with title
77/78 dark blue coupe rally wheel and gauges, factory sunroof
77 red hatchback auto
76 coupe green
1 lite blue Pinto crushed by falling tree, said to have good floors, obviously a parts car
80 white hatchback, all glass hatch 2.3L
Parts in the cars were rough, the cars are all stored outdoors and are showing the effects, but they could be worthwhile if you're looking for one of these in particular. Most of the steering wheels have been changed, and the interior panels were pretty rough. I didn't pull any parts from these cars that people had asked about, they just weren't in good enough shape, at least to my eyes. If you would be interested in painting some of the interior parts, maybe. I have photos of the cars and will try to post them here in a bit. I did go out to the guys house and look at his parts stash. They were stored outdoors on a small flatbed trailer. There were seats and other things, all snow covered so it made them hard to see. I bought a gas tank and a grille for my Bobcat, but that was all. He had several engines and transmissions there, including what he said was a 2.3L turbo, but I didn't look at them and couldn't begin to vouch for their condition. Several of these cars seem to be parts cars, but he may have titles to more than the ones I listed. He would prefer to sell the cars as entire cars rather than parting them out. The lot is called Southern Indiana Auto Sales and their address is 5555 St. Hwy 62, Boonville, Indiana. The gentleman who owns the lot (the cars actually belong to his brother) is named Jeff, and his cell number is 812-925-6410. I'll post photos later today. Sorry about not bringing anything home for anyone. It does occur to me to buy the car crushed by the tree, cut the floors out, and make a pattern and start making the things myself...
Thanks for the effort, stinks that the parts weren't in a little better shape, but that's what you get into when dealing with stuff this old that was previously of little or no value to anyone.
But once again, thanks for going out and taking a look for us! It's highly appreciated.

Hopefully the photos made it...
And some more (Once I figured this photo thing out I'm going to be dangerous...)
And the last one...
Matt, do these cars with titles run? If money weren't an object I would take the '71 and '74. ;D
As far as I know they do, but I can't swear to it. How far away from there are you?
Too far... I'm in California. I need a money tree! lol.
No wagons?
Sorry, I didn't see the message. I think he had a wagon but it was pretty rough. I posted some photos above, but if you want their phone number I'll get it for you. Just let me know.
