Title: Stack them high!!
Post by: pintogirl on January 24, 2010, 09:28:21 PM
LOL Thought this would make a good pic! Although it is a bit blurry. How often do you see 2 Pintos being worked on at the same time!! LOL

Truthfully, what that pic is. We don't have all the parts to put the Squire back together, and it is "out of the way" when up in the air. So to do other things we just raise it up! There is better light at that end of the garage, so to play with the cw motor, we shoved it underneath! LOL

We found out that the flex plate was no good. So hubby tried to find one. He even took the torque converter down to our tranny guy, been there a week now. That guy still hasn't found one. In the mean time, I got one from Fred and it came yesterday. Tranny shop is closed with torque converter in shop! Bummer!

Now hubby is saying he thinks the torque converter may have bad bolt holes too. Said he thought he saw they were kind of bad when he dropped it off at the tranny shop. We will go pick it up tomorrow. Will find out more then.

I'm thinking, "what else can go wrong"!! Here I thought this was going to be an easy swap of motors! NOT!!!! LOL

I can't drive it till after Wed. anyway, so I guess it can wait till then to run and drive!! LOL

Actually we could buy one new, but it was pretty expensive. We were trying to go the cheaper route first! It paid off!!! Thanks Fred!!  ;D

I hope I do! LOL I will get the red number tag (the one you tape in your window) to allow it to be street legal on Wed. Now if it is put together by then, that is a different story!! LOL
