small block 302 will fit. think the windsor in a 351 but it will fit to.
yea i got my engine confused when i wrote this. 302 wasn't the windsor, the 351 was. but there was also a cleveland 351 big block i think? But will I have to do any modifications to the car to fit the 302? I've heard from someone that i'll need a new oil pan, new pick up tubes and new motor mounts
Actually the 302 was a Ford Windsor motor... all Windsor means is the name for the engines of Ford that were 90 degree, small block V-8's including the 289, 302 and 351 Windsor. The 351 Cleveland was indeed a big block.
And yes 302 conversions can be achieved and have been discussed exhaustively at this forum...try using the search bar at the top of the page to read up on all the swap material there is, then post any other specific questions you may have.
