Title: Just got 74 pinto wagon and no idea what the v-6 in is?

Its going 2 be my next derby car and it runs great, it will smoke both tires after i did some welding on the rearend. But like i said no clue what the motor is and am having trouble finding parts 4 it. ANY IDEAS?

the pintos that had v6's were all 2.8's if its not stock I dont knwo what to tell you , but the stock pinto motor is a 2.8 and parts are generally hard to find

thanks, and ur right parts r not easy 2 find at all might switch 2 a 2.3.

2.3 is easier to install, but id rather go with the 3.0 or 3.8 honestly if i could get parts i would stay with the 2.8 its a hearty little motor and does well for how long its been in the car lol

I put a fuel injected 4.o v6 with a 5 speed in a pinto wagon years ago, it ran great. Sold it and the guy wrecked it in 3 weeks. Some people just don`t respect classics.
