Title: 1972 Fuel tank sending unit

 Are these still available new or are there any other sources for them.

posably greensales.com but otherwise no. they sometimes show up on ebay as well

Okay. The sender unit works fine. It's just that the filter screen is bad. Can I remove that and use an external filter for it?

Mark I would install new screen + inline filter.  Fred   :)

Where can I get a new screen for it or is it just some Southern engineering?

Some of the auto part's stores stock them.  Fred   :)
