Title: Heater
Post by: 71ss351 on November 30, 2004, 06:05:28 PM
I have an idea for a heating system for pinto v8 conversions, do not know if it will work, me and my dad are working on it. I am going to use some sheet metal to build a box for the heater core and blower motor. Then I will hook the elbow off of the defroster to the box. This will take care of the defrosters. Then I am going to use some flex pipe to hook up the dash vents. Not worried about floor vents right now, just want to drive the care during the winter. When wired up I will only have on and off. It looks really good on paper. I will let you know about the progress. I already have part of the box completed.

I kept the factory heater on mine. It was an a/c car and I always had dreams of hooking it up too. However, living in Wisconsin made the heat a priority!

Keep us updated on what you're making!

why not use the existing heater core.  If not for the heat, it could add a little extra cooling for the large engine.  If the heater core is gone, then it is a cool idea.  Keep us advised of your creation
