As my project 79 nears completion, I envision it going further from stock. The 2.3 in it has 124k miles. The cam has a rough spot & a questionable follower. My parts car has a 2.3 with "I believe" 79k on it. I've started it but switched to another car the next day. I'm almost to the point of looking at changing out the stock 13" wheels & hubcaps. I'll need to keep the narrow tires in the front but would like something wider/bigger in the rear, I'd like the rims to match??
I guess I can do with what I have for a while but at some point.......I've also decided this car could really use a 5th gear!
Help me out, talk me through this!
my rims in front are 15x7 and i will have to get the tire size for you but its a nice tire that fills the wheel well and gives good foot print on the ground. the backs you will have to get that size from some one else i have no leaf springs so i have 15x10 rims in back with 26x12.50x15 tires on back. but they wont fit with the leaf springs. and now your thinking find a mustang doner car and get a motor trans and rear end dropped in her and oh my BIG FUN. ;D
I've got 15x7 Centerline Auto Drags all around on my V8 '72. Front tires are 225/50 15s and rears are Mickey Thompson Drag Radials in 235/60 15.....and yes, I wish I had more rubber back there.
