looks like im going with a v8 clutch setup in the turbo pinto and am curious to how much work is needed to get the v8 bell in the pinto? this is going into my 2.3 turbo 5sp car. thanks steve.
with your 75 i really think it will fit fine. the early models where a little tight but your tunnel is wider. i put the t5 out of a mustang in my 71 had to do some mods but from what i see on the site with later models its purty good fit.
yeah, im hoping so. i bought what was supposed to be a standard 2.3 spec aluminum flywheel and 3+ clutch kit and it turned out to be a 5.0 kit made for a 2.3 crank. iwas a little jilted at first but the more i thought about it the more it makes sense to try to use it. i have everything except the adapter plate and i only paid 400 for the whole kit and its new in the package. it costs nearly 800 off the shelf at spec. we'll see how this goes and ill try to update anythig i find on the install.....
Why can't you use a 2.3 T5 bell?
this flywheel and clutch setup is not the same size as the 2.3. the 2.3 turbo is a 9 1/4 inch clutch. the v8 setup is 10.5 inch. so to use it i have to use a 2.3 to 5.0 adapter and v8 bellhousing.
