Title: 1974 Wagon V8 Conversion
Post by: pinto1955 on December 12, 2009, 02:26:48 PM
Hi All,

My question is I may buy a 74 wagon that has the 2.0 in it instead of the the 2.3. Some of the 74's had this motor and my question is when doing the conversion do you need the M II frame mounts or the Hooker kit. And for the motor mounts would you use the right and left or the two lefts that you would use in the earlier models. Also would the ealy model headers work? Thanks.

The '74 up cars all had the bigger frame rails so you would use all of the later model stuff. I think the headers fit all models. On the '74 2.0 I had the engine mounts were different from the 71-73 to fit the 2.0 in the later style frame mounts.
